  • Kindergarten - 5 to 6 Years

    Kindergarten is the final year of our preschool program. It’s a very exciting, challenging and rewarding time! Children have accumulated a great deal of experience allowing them to become very creative with their work.

    The third year of Montessori pre primary is a time when many of the earlier lessons come together and become permanent part of the child’s understanding. By five years old, most Montessori children will begin to read and many will be introduced to addition, multiplication, division and subtraction.

    Children who’ve been in the classroom for three years have a real sense of running their classroom community. As a kindergartener at Little Blossom your child will have many opportunities to teach their younger classmates lessons they first learned in the classroom.

    • Curriculum includes math, language, geography, music, art, social studies and science.
    • Students develop self-confidence, motivation, discipline and a love of learning. We teach children to be kind and peaceful. 
    • In Montessori, your child can continue to progress at their own pace. In traditional kindergarten, they will have to wait for the next lesson.
    • Our program treats children with deep respect as a unique individual. We are equally concerned for their intellectual, social and emotional development.
    • The Montessori curriculum is carefully structured and integrated to demonstrate the connections among the different subject areas.
    • Every class teaches practical life, critical thinking, math, language, history, arts and science.

ABOUT US

Little Blossom Montessori provides quality Montessori-certified education for infants, toddlers, preschool and kindergarten children for mornings, afternoons, extended and full-day programs.

We serve families in Aurora and Naperville, Illinois. Parents are welcome to schedule a visit.
